We are delighted to announce that Christopher Poole-Johnson has joined the Advisory Board of Docenti Global Business School. His appointment marks an exciting step forward for the institution as it continues to expand its global outlook and academic partnerships.

Prof. Poole-Johnson is an accomplished international educator and academic leader with over two decades of experience in higher education, institutional development, and cross-border academic collaboration. He currently serves as Chairman of Windsor-Essex Education & Development Co. Ltd (WEDC Vietnam) and Rector of BOU Vietnam, where he provides strategic leadership and academic oversight for transnational education initiatives. Through these roles, he has played a key part in strengthening international partnerships and promoting innovative education models across Vietnam and the wider Southeast Asian region.

Before taking on his current leadership positions, Prof. Poole-Johnson held several senior academic roles that contributed significantly to the growth of international education networks. As Academic Director at Saigon International College, he oversaw the delivery of the Australian Certificate of Education curriculum, ensuring high academic standards in collaboration with Australian partner institutions. He also served as Head of Program for the Curtin University Bachelor of Commerce degree in Indonesia, working closely with Curtin University to maintain curriculum integrity and academic quality in undergraduate business education.

His academic background reflects both depth and distinction. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Graduate Diploma, Master of Arts, CELTA, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), with research affiliations at the University of Western Australia and Curtin University. This strong academic foundation, combined with his extensive leadership experience, equips him with a comprehensive understanding of institutional governance, academic rigor, and international quality assurance standards.

In addition to his higher education leadership, Prof. Poole-Johnson serves as Deputy Principal at Nam Uc Scotch AGS, where he supports leadership development, faculty coordination, and stakeholder engagement. His involvement across both K–12 and higher education sectors uniquely positions him to bridge different stages of learning and apply global best practices throughout the educational continuum.

Throughout his career, Prof. Poole-Johnson has been a strong advocate for partnerships that expand access to high-quality education. Under his leadership, WEDC has pursued strategic collaborations, including a Memorandum of Agreement with ANIBT, aimed at strengthening vocational and hospitality training pathways for Vietnamese students. His work consistently focuses on aligning local education systems with global standards while enhancing graduate employability through competency-based learning.

Prof. Poole-Johnson’s professional journey reflects a deep commitment to academic excellence, cross-cultural engagement, and forward-thinking leadership. His addition to the Advisory Board of Docenti Global Business School reinforces the institution’s dedication to international collaboration, quality assurance, and preparing students to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
